A great way to set aside money for payment or reimbursement of unexpected and regular medical expenses, and day care expenses that you would regularly pay. The amount you set aside is not taxedand is automatically deducted from your paycheck and deposited into your FSA!
The City offers various retirement plans with Mission Square including 401, 457, and Roth. As well as Police Pensions for those employed in qualified positions.
The base-plan cost for an employee is paid by the City. Family health insurance coverage is available through payroll deduction
Medical leave accrues at the rate of 12 days per year. In addition, the City of Vero Beach also observes 11 holidays each year.
Annual leave accrues at the rate of 10 working days per year for the first 5 years. Thereafter, and gradually, leave accruals increase until an employee is accruing 25 annual days per year at 20 years of service to the City.
Education reimbursement may be available to employees interested in pursuing a degree.
